Modified Bass Brushing Technique
The Modified Bass Brushing Technique is the most widely accepted and most effective method of brushing for adults. Following steps will help you practice the modified bass technique with much ease.
Bristles are directed apically at 45 degrees to long axis of tooth, mostly it is difficult to place at 45 degrees so placing parallel to teeth is also beneficial. Now press the bristles slightly so that they partly enter the gums. Vibrate the Brush back and forth with short strokes for 10-15 strokes for each position and move to the next teeth. (Use gentle but firm vibratory strokes without removing bristle ends from sulcus).
